Both down under currencies have been affected by drops in Asian stock markets and also by drops in commodity prices.
The New Zealand dollar is down in currency trading this morning, due in large part to economic data. Jobs data in New Zealand, along with other indicators, are showing signs of an economic slowdown. The central bank is expected to cut the cash rate.
