Asian Currencies and Forex Trading Strategy

South Korean won leads emerging market currencies in Asia higher
Emerging market currencies in Asia are often considered semi-floating, meaning that the central banks, while allowing some free market movement, are will to intervene dramatically when needed.
As the US dollar shows signs of weakness in currency trading, emerging market currencies in Asia are moving higher. Led by the South Korean won, Asian currencies outside of Japan are gaining in FX trading.

Part of the reason that emerging market Asian currencies are finding such success right now is due to the central banks' desires to have stronger currencies right now. Emerging market currencies in Asia are often considered semi-floating, meaning that the central banks, while allowing some free market movement, are will to intervene dramatically when needed.

Right now, with inflation rising (along with energy prices) many emerging markets in Asia are willing to do what is necessary to keep their currencies strong.
