| August 26, 2008 | | Currency trading with the greenback | The forex trading forecast for the U.S. dollar is looking pretty good right now. In currency trading, the greenback is up against all of the other major currencies, especially the euro.
Indeed, the struggles of the euro in forex trading have been quite helpful to the U.S. dollar. Bloomberg reports on how the euro is helping the forex trading forecast for the U.S. dollar:
``The ECB is going to start cutting early next year -- in
January,'' said Steven Englander, a currency strategist at Lehman
in New York. ``Right now, the first ECB cut isn't priced in to
the market until July. We are significantly more aggressive in
terms of thinking how the ECB is going to respond to weaker
growth and lower inflation.'' Dollar strength in FX trading has also been helped along by an economy that appears to be starting the road to recovery, along with some drops in commodities.
