| February 22, 2010 | | Currency trading on the FX market | The U.S. dollar appears to be taking a breather in forex trading on the currency market today. The greenback is mixed in currency trading as the euro and the sterling both head a little bit higher.
Risk appetite is helping matters a bit as Asian and European stocks move higher. However, things may not remain so rosy for the high beta currencies.
Fundamentally, the U.S. is in a better place right now, and that could mean that the gains by the sterling and euro in forex trading are more of a correction due to being oversold against the U.S. dollar than a long-standing trend.
