Euro heads higher along with the stock market

The euro is making a rally attempt in forex trading on the currency market this morning. As the stock market lurches its way higher, a little bit of risk appetite is showing through, helping the 15-nation currency.

This could be good news for the euro, which has been the subject of speculation that this global recession, stemming from the financial crisis, could actually spell the end of the euro as a unified currency. A breath of life is what's needed in order to sustain some sort of upward momentum for the euro in forex trading.

Of course, things could change. There is still a great deal of volatility. Eastern Europe hasn't been sorted, and banking problems still abound. And the European economy remains sluggish. We will have to wait to see whether this rally turns into something substantial.
